What “source” and “checker” mean

A checker is an available native module for a search type. A source is a service, site, or database queried directly or through an integration. One integration can query many sources, so checker and source counts are not equivalent.

Current integrations include Holehe with 120+ email checkers, user-scanner with 98 email modules, and Maigret with support for 3,000+ username sites. Not every search queries every source. Coverage, availability, and result counts vary by identifier, third-party limits, and service configuration.

Supported search types

Email, username, phone, domain, CPF, CNPJ, name, blockchain address, and IP. Applicable modules are selected according to input type.

Execution and interpretation

The backend runs asynchronous modules, applies concurrency and rate limits, and separates statuses such as found, not found, rate limited, timeout, and error. A found result is a source-attributed lead; it is not automatic proof of identity, ownership, fraud, or association.

Validation rule: material decisions require human review, consultation of the original source, and independent confirmation. No result does not prove that information is absent.

espectrosint is designed for legitimate open-source investigation and analysis of user-supplied files. Users are responsible for purpose and lawful basis when processing third-party data. See the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

espectrosint does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or availability of third-party sources. Coverage numbers describe available technical capacity, not how many results a specific query will return.
